The Heritage Of Women Of Vision Charlotte
World Vision
World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization, founded in 1950, dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
As a relief and development organization, World Vision is uniquely positioned to buttress the fragile lives of people struggling under burdens of oppression, violence, disease, and natural disasters. It works to enable residents to bring about their own transformation. As a result, they come to know hope where there was none. Hope makes a difference in people’s lives.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.”
Matthew 25:35
| World Vision not only brings physical help but also spiritual help. Motivated by faith in Jesus Christ, World Vision serves alongside the poor and oppressed as a demonstration of God’s unconditional love for all people. In all World Vision does, its staff patiently shine the Gospel’s light to point others to the love of Jesus Christ.
World Vision serves all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. It provides hope and assistance to more than 100 million people in nearly 100 countries around the world – including the United States.
Vision statement : “Our vision for every child, life in all its fullness. Our prayer for every heart, the will to make it so.” |
